Electrical EngineerCTDI is experiencing significant growth and we are actively hiring for several Electrical Engineers to join our corporate Engineering team. We are looking for recent graduates as well as mid to upper-level experience. Our engineers will work as part of a dynamic team of Mechanical, Software, and Robotics Engineers, in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing set of businesses and facilities to support.
Knowledge of Cable TV (CATV) / DSL and fiber testing is highly preferred for this role.
- Build, setup and maintain test and calibration systems for various hand-held test equipment
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades of different test benches related to DSL, Cable, Fiber, Wireless, Wi-Fi testing and calibration.
- Generate engineering documents, including schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports.
- Ability to build test systems and configure software for test systems.
- Analyze technical requirements and effort associated with test systems and products.
- Develop automated test and repair capabilities
- Build, test, debug and develop C, C#, C++, Python, JTAG, CLI or LINUX applications.
- Hardware debug experience at the board level.
- Experience with configuring, using, and testing telecom equipment
- Familiarity with Cable TV (CATV) and Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) technology.
- Experience with IP networks and Linux
- Ability to create/analyze detailed technical documentation.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as an individual as well as in a Team environment.
- Experience designing test systems and using custom and off the shelf test equipment. Strong ability to troubleshoot and execute test procedures.
- Ability to build and assemble rack and stack equipment
- Optical transport design or test in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interact professionally with the customer in written and verbal communications.
- Test development experience with telecom equipment with a preference for Wireless network components such as Remote Radio Head equipment, wireless transport equipment, small cells, base stations, etc.
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of science.
- 3+ years’ experience with test engineering.
- Ability to build test systems and configure software for test systems.
- Telecommunications technical experience and overall understanding preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Project), report preparation, and data analysis.
- Experience in testing and debugging RF, analog, mixed signal ICs
- Experience in developing test instructions and procedures
- Working knowledge of Lab Windows CVI
