Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for the full execution of the project including safety compliance, conformity with all aspects of the project scope including budget, specifications and schedule while addressing our customers’ needs and requests.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Review project scope, contract terms, and client specifications.
  • Develop, maintain, and adhere to a project schedule that meets the contractual requirements.
  • Manage the project budget including invoicing, change orders, purchase orders, subcontractors and other financial matters associated with the project.
  • Direct and monitor the field installation per customer requests, and site material management efforts of the project team including equipment rentals and PPE.
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with the project team.
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative relationship with the customer to promote common interest, mutual respect and further the customer’s confidence and trust.
  • Conduct meetings with the customer as needed/required including recording meeting minutes.
  • Ensure customer deliverables such as submittals, training and schedule updates are provided as required.
  • Site visits on an as needed basis to assess conditions, identify potential challenges, evaluate progress, maintain effective communication with the field, customer, and all of the associated project team.
  • Oversee site safety and compliance, provide timely resolution to identified issues/concerns.
  • Address punch list items and finalize installation to client satisfaction.
  • Identify any critical issues and assist in the development of improvement procedures.
  • Act as the point of contact for integrators, suppliers, or other contractors engaged in the scope of the project. Not limited to customers alternative contractors for site coordination.
  • Manage subcontractor work, schedules, and the performance of their contractual obligations.
  • Provide project status reports covering budget, schedule, quality, and safety to stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Compile as-built documentation and final inspection reports.
  • Resolve open issues with customers’ engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Resolve open issues with the customer including monitoring customer feedback and work to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Notify suppliers/customers of field team deficiencies needed to complete scope of work.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned for future jobs.
  • Design, build and implement processes and procedures, including but not limited to creating forms, templates and other department needs.
  • Aid in field team understanding of estimates.
  • Develop and tightly manage resource planning for field staffing.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Ability to travel and work on project sites throughout the United States.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiphase projects.
  • Self-starter with organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Aptness for motivation and positivity.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Quick Books preferred.
  • Ability to analyze progress and identify issues in the schedule in a timely manner.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the Material Handling/Parcel Industry or related.
  • Understanding of project cost accounting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of automated and manual material handling sortation systems.
  • Open-minded and receptive of learning new specifications and field requirements.
  • Experience managing a department or focused work team.
  • Experience with high level scheduling.
  • Experience working with customers in planning and troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience in coordinating department activities with other departments.
  • Proactive work ethic.
Other Information
  • Required up to 25% travel to jobsites and client meetings.
