Chief Academic Affairs Officer
Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKCTC), a comprehensive multi-campus institution within the Kentucky Community and Technical College System, invites applications for the position of Chief Academic Affairs Officer (CAAO).
Serving the Appalachian region of Southeastern Kentucky through campuses in Cumberland, Harlan, Knox (Barbourville), Middlesboro, Pineville, and Whitesburg, SKCTC provides accessible, high-quality education that supports transfer pathways, workforce training, and regional economic development. The College serves a diverse population of traditional and non-traditional students and plays a vital role in strengthening communities through education and workforce partnerships
The Chief Academic Affairs Officer serves as the senior academic leader of the College and provides strategic leadership and administrative oversight for Academic Affairs across a multi-campus environment. Reporting to the President/CEO, the CAO collaborates with executive leadership, faculty, division heads, and community partners to advance academic excellence, support student success, and align programs with regional workforce needs. The CAO leads the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs and academic support services while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and Kentucky Community and Technical College System policies.
Candidates must possess an earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution and demonstrate leadership experience in higher education academic affairs, instructional administration, or related areas.
