JOB DESCRIPTION:
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MULTI-TIERED SYSTEM OF SUPPORTS (MTSS) AR Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree or higher; a valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate;
Administrative certification preferred; - Minimum of five years successful teaching experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with implementation and leadership of Multi‑Tiered System of Support;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing interventions through the use of evidence‑based practices;
- Demonstrated expertise in the development of programs and supports to minimize the impact of behavioral and mental health needs on student achievement;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with a variety of other roles to meet the needs of students;
- Demonstrated knowledge and training in removing barriers to learning due to the impact of social‑emotional and/or mental health concerns.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Multi‑tiered System of Supports
JOB GOAL:
Support school staff to improve services for students via a multi‑tiered system of supports.
- Support the implementation of MTSS structures, supports and tiered intervention through training, coaching and technical assistance.
- Work with school leaders to develop a positive approach to systematically implement classroom and school‑wide behavior supports.
- Work collaboratively with school leaders to support the implementation of a system of tiered intervention utilizing evidence‑based intervention programs and strategies.
- Work collaboratively with school staff to implement programs based on the identified needs of students through a data‑driven approach.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of MTSS to provide training and support to schools to effectively implement a variety of supports to address the academic, behavioral, and mental health needs of students.
- Prepare regular progress reports for school, district and KDE staff to assess program impact on student success.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of MTSS.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Compensation will be based on 230 contract days on the board‑approved Director II salary schedule
