Job DescriptionUnion County Public Schools has an opening for an Assistant Cross Country Coach at Union County High School. The district has developed key areas upon which applicants will be assessed; these dispositions include the following indicators:
- Stability – demonstrates maturity and ability for the position
- Attitude toward work – appears to be dedicated to and enthusiastic, positive, and creative towards the demands of the position.
- Attitude toward schools – Displays a willingness to cooperate with parents and other shareholders
- Attitude toward community relations – Projects a positive attitude toward promoting the school programs within the community.
- Ability to relate to students – Has leadership ability to work successfully with participants.
- Student Management – Demonstrates effective discipline, motivation, and proper supervision.
- Attitude toward school activities – Demonstrates a willingness to support school activities in his/her work.
- Professionalism and personal relationships – Develops respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior, language, and conduct.
- Communication skills – Communicates effectively.
Certified employee preferred. If not a certified employee, para‑professionals (coaches) must complete the required trainings, employment requirements and/or provide proof of a minimum of 48 college hours.
