POSITION:
School Psychologist PreK‑12
Responsibilities include:
- Enthusiastic and proactive team player seeking professional growth opportunities.
- Complete evaluation process in compliance with ODE Special Education Operating Standards.
- Use various testing protocols.
- Participate in preschool play‑based assessment team.
- Understand and complete all reports in a timely manner.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other educational personnel on issues related to the education of children with disabilities to ensure the provision of the most appropriate educational program.
- Perform other duties related to evaluations and/or counseling as requested by the superintendent, including crisis intervention and support in accordance with school psychologist professional standards and ethics.
Location:
Office located at the Putnam County Educational Service Center with services provided in Putnam County Schools, as assigned by the ESC Superintendent.
- Hold an Ohio Department of Education School Psychologist License.
- Meet the qualifications defined in the Ohio Operating Standards for Ohio’s Schools Serving Children with Disabilities and the Putnam County ESC.
- Ability to work with parents, students, and educational teams to identify academic and behavioral challenges; provide educational testing and evaluations; and collaborate with the educational team to develop education plans for students.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

The Putnam County Educational Service Center provides educational opportunities to nine rural school districts in Ohio. The districts include Columbus Grove, Continental, Ft. Jennings, Kalida, Leipsic, Miller City‑New Cleveland, Ottawa‑Glandorf, Ottoville, and Pandora‑Gilboa. In addition, the ESC has both school age and preschool age classrooms within the nine school districts providing services to children with special needs and their families.
