To provide support services in the children s classroom during the lunch breaks.

Description of Duties and Tasks
The duties and tasks of this position include but are not limited to covering breaks; covering team meeting, staff meeting and planning times; tasks related to opening set up and mid or end of day sanitation; enhancing ratios before the late teacher arrives or after the early teacher leaves; and assisting with late children. During the execution of these duties, hourly employees will:
- Assist with classroom management (for example, supervision and guidance of children and positive interactions)
- Assist with cleaning related to the care of children (for example, cleaning up after meals and snacks and sanitizing toys and equipment)
- Assist with routines related to the care of children (for example, diapering/toileting and feeding)
- Communicate positively with parents, co-workers, students and community members
- Protect the health and safety of children (for example, inform or correct health and safety problems and wash hands)
- Behave professionally and ethically (for example, wear nametag, dress appropriately, arrive on time ready to work, inform supervisor when absent)
- Assist with keeping classrooms, hallways and storage areas organized
- Implement lesson plan activities, record information about children’s time at school, and communicate appropriate information with parents
- Other duties specific to the assigned classroom (listed below if applicable).

- Familiarity with apps used to communicate with families
- 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalency
- Willingness to participate in orientation prior to classroom placement
- Willingness to participate in training required by HHS Child Care Licensing, including CPR and First Aid, and the Health Department
- Meet criminal history requirements for HHS Child Care Regulation
- Enrollment in or completion of some Child Development, Early Childhood, or related college coursework
- Experience working with children in a group setting
- Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment.
- Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.
- Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior. Take reasonable and prudent actions to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
Monday - Thursdays 11:30-2:30pm
Fridays - 11:30-3.00pm
