Job DutiesThe Medical Assisting Program Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality instruction in both classroom and laboratory settings. This role is essential in equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful careers in the medical assisting field.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that align with program objectives and institutional standards
- Instruct and guide students in both classroom and hands-on laboratory environments
- Assess student performance, maintain accurate records, and track progress and skill competencies
- Provide support to enhance student learning, development, and professional preparedness
- Associate degree or higher in Medical Assisting (preferred) or a related healthcare field
- Current certification as a CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) preferred
- Teaching experience in a postsecondary or adult education setting is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to student success and workforce readiness
