Midway University invites applicants for a fulltime faculty position in Equine Studies in the School of Business, Equine and Sport Management. Expected start date is August 1, 2026. This is a 9-month position, non-tenured position, with summer teaching opportunities a possibility.

As a faculty member, the successful candidate will develop and teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; courses will be taught both in face-to-face and online formats. Equine faculty and staff oversee students in daily chores on the Midway campus farm. All faculty are expected to advise students, serve on committees, be engaged in campus life, and maintain currency in the field.

Research in the field is encouraged, but not required. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively.

• Doctorate in Equine or Animal Science or related field, or DVM with equine experience required. ABD applicants will be considered.
• Must have expertise in equine science/studies.
• Preference will be given to those with expertise in equine therapy/rehabilitation techniques, including but not limited to the use of PEMF, Laser, Massage, Myofascial release, E-Stim and therapeutic ultrasound in maintaining health and helping horses recover from injury.
• Higher education experience preferred.
