Senior Construction Representative

Location: Grand Rivers

Overview

Seeking a Senior Construction Representative to provide full-time, on-site inspection and quality assurance for a major civil works project. This role requires expertise in heavy civil construction and compliance with USACE standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Review contractor QC reports and monitor adherence to USACE 3-phase QC system.
• Document inspections and prepare daily Quality Assurance Reports in RMS.
• Verify materials, installations, and as-built drawings.
• Attend technical meetings, safety briefings, and inspections.
• Track deficiencies, RFIs, and maintain accurate project records.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in pre-final and final inspections; verify completion of the punch list.
• Prepare official correspondence and monitor contractor responses.
• Complete First Aid/CPR and USACE CQM training within 2 months of hire.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 15 years in construction, with heavy civil experience.
• Skilled in field inspections, interpreting plans/specifications, and reviewing as-built drawings.
• Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA 29 CFR 1926 regulations.
• Experience with concrete construction operations preferred.

Education &

Certifications:

• High School Diploma (minimum).
• OSHA 30 Certification (required).
• Valid driver's license.
