This position is responsible for: Under the direction of the Camp Manager, assists in the maintenance and repair of the camp's buildings, grounds, equipment, and other facilities consistent with the mission and established policies and procedures of the camp.

• Keeps the Camp Maintenance crew on task. Ensure they follow through with all assigned duties.
• Maintains campgrounds by operating necessary grounds-care equipment, such as mowers, tractors, and chainsaws, safely and efficiently.

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Ability to observe children and youth and ensure their safety.

Some physical requirements of the Camp Maintenance Supervisor position include endurance, including climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.

Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are required to manipulate maintenance equipment and perform maintenance activities.

Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available.

Operate with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.

• Two years’ experience in a facility and site maintenance, construction, or grounds keeping business preferred
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
