Position: Senior Corporate Procurement Agent 1225
Location: Irvine

This role supports enterprise-wide purchasing by overseeing the acquisition of goods and services across the organization. The Senior Procurement Agent manages the full procurement lifecycle—from sourcing and supplier selection through contracting and payment—while ensuring alignment with internal policies and business objectives. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive value, manage risk, and promote efficient, compliant purchasing practices.

Serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, this role provides guidance on procurement processes, enforces purchasing standards, and acts as a primary contact for contract administration, including negotiations and change management activities.

Essential Responsibilities Priority One – 20%
  • Develop, issue, and manage Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).

  • Support business teams in drafting statements of work, service agreements, and related procurement documents with minimal supervision.

Priority Two – 30%
  • Lead supplier evaluation and selection efforts.

  • Perform cost and price analyses of vendor proposals.

  • Manage and execute contract negotiations to achieve favorable commercial terms.

Priority Three – 30%
  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners to ensure timely engagement and alignment with organizational objectives and procurement standards.

  • Maintain and grow supplier relationships while identifying and onboarding new vendors as appropriate.

Priority Four – 10%
  • Identify opportunities to optimize spend and deliver cost savings on a project and portfolio basis.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to maximize value.

Priority Five – 10%
  • Ensure accurate and complete procurement documentation.

  • Reconcile project and contract costs to confirm adherence to approved budgets.

Responsibilities may evolve based on business needs.

Day-to-Day Duties
  • Lead and manage vendor sourcing initiatives, including:

    • Creating and issuing RFIs/RFPs

    • Reviewing pricing models, contractual terms, and conditions

    • Providing sourcing recommendations to stakeholders

    • Negotiating pricing and contract language to balance value and risk

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Legal, and Finance to ensure procurement activities align with organizational policies and strategic goals.

  • Track and report on project timelines and cost performance.

  • Provide guidance and informal mentorship to peers as needed.

  • Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field required

  • Master’s degree (MBA) preferred

Experience & Requirements
  • 5–7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related function.

  • Hands-on experience analyzing and negotiating a variety of contract structures (e.g., fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, time and materials).

  • Experience working with enterprise purchasing or financial systems; ERP experience preferred.

  • Exposure to indirect or corporate services procurement is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from initiation through completion.

  • Effective negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
