Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Material Handler in Kent, WA. Warehouse positions pay weekly. Pay: $21.50 per hour.

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading and unloading of trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid forklift operator’s license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to be a team player in a diverse work environment
• Ability to build professional relationships within all levels of the organization
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual with good attendance
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision; strong initiative
• Demonstrates high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work with health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule across various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Some positions may require additional screening including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.
