• Drive delivery trucks weighing 26,000 lbs or more safely and efficiently.
• Deliver Wismettac products over established routes or within a designated territory.
• Load or unload merchandise at customers’ businesses, with the ability to handle items up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain effective relationships between the company and the customer.
• Represent the company positively through safe, responsible driving practices.
• Perform interstate driving when required.
• Operate the vehicle safely, navigating heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight loading dock areas.
• Conduct pre‑trip, in‑route, and post‑trip inspections and immediately report any equipment defects.
• Keep the tractor interior clean and orderly.
• Promptly report accidents, delays, or any issues related to pickups or deliveries.
• Submit all paperwork and documents required by the Federal DOT and Wismettac in a timely manner.
• Collect payment for merchandise when required, obtain customer signatures, and forward receipts and payment records.
• Follow Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Section 111 and Sanitary Transportation guidelines.
• Assist in loading trucks and arranging items for ease of deliveryursive tasks.
• Perform any other driver or warehouse duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT regulations governing hours of service, inspections, and maintenance.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing 50 lbs or more.
• Proficient with electronic logbooks and tablet/computer systems.
• Strong investigative skills for accident records.
• Clear, articulate communication in English.
• Accurate record‑keeping and documentation skills.
• Interpersonal skills with tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Reliable attendance and a solid work history.
• Availability for extended hours, possible weekends, and occasional nights.
• Capacity to manually complete required paperwork and reports.
• Customer‑service mindset and support for the warehouse department.
• Ability to read gauges, dials, and vehicle controls accurately.
• Capability to enter and exit the vehicle’s cab using footholds and handholds safely.
• Apply physical stance and motion required for long periods of sitting and driving.
• Flexibility to bend, lift, and perform hand, arm, leg, and foot motions involved in driving and loading/unloading tasks.

Drivers work long hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The role may involve heavy lifting and walking. Drivers may travel on nights, holidays, and weekends and sometimes drive long distances without returning home for 2–4 days. Safety equipment such as steel‑toed boots is required. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday, 40 hours.
