Driver/Valeter (Part Time) - 2 Positions Available

Contract 1: Monday to Friday 7am to 12pm (25 hours per week, over time available during holiday periods), your starting hourly rate will be equal to national minimum wage.

Contract 2: Monday to Friday 12pm to 5pm (25 hours per week, over time available during holiday periods), your starting hourly rate will be equal to national minimum wage.

As part of our strategic growth, we are pleased to be able to offer two new roles within our family business. PK Motors ARC Ltd has been in existence since 1971, owned and operated by Philip Rawlingson until the current day. In recent years, our business has gained recognition from some of the most recognised vehicle manufacturers on the roads, along with being awarded the British Standard Kitemark, which we recently successfully transitioned to BS10125:2022, the latest release of the standard and also qualifying for the certification of PAS
2060. In a period of change, with the company now being headed up by Phil's daughter Katy and son in law Daniel, the business is looking to expand further over the next 12 months, allowing for growth of services, and integration of the continued growth of technology and equipment required to repair modern day vehicles.

In this role, you will be the face of the company, taking courtesy vehicles to customers and collecting their vehicles for repairs, and returning them on completion. You will be responsible for ensuring the courtesy vehicles you deliver are cleaned to a high standard and in full working condition, documenting any damage pre existing prior to handover. You will also be responsible for documenting the condition of the customers vehicles before repairs, carrying out damage checks, and when opportunities arise, upselling our services we have available.

In addition to this, you will be seen as one of the team and so when not on the road, you will be expected to assist with tasks around the site, from cleaning courtesy vehicles, pre washing cars for repair, to general housekeeping and anything in between.

Role Requirements: There is no specific experience required for this role, as full on the job training will be given to the successful candidates. This role requires you to be computer literate, as the vast majority of checks are carried out using specific software on Android tablets. You must also have a Full Clean UK Driving License and be over the age of 25 (a requirement of our Motor Traders Insurance, which allows you to drive any vehicle under the companies control).

You must be well presented and punctual, with a desire to deliver the very best customer service possible. We will also be required to carry out a DBS check prior to offer of employment.
