Job DescriptionAbout the Role
We're seeking a dynamic, values-driven individual to join us in a parental leave contract. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact while supporting the continuation of high-quality services that empower clients to live their best lives. Our Foster Care Service (FCS) is funded through the Department for Child Protection (DCP) to provide family based foster care services in the SA Metropolitan North, South, West, and East, the Adelaide Hills, the Barossa, Fleurier Peninsula and the Murray/Mallee regions.
The aims and objectives of this role are to liaise with staff of the Department for Child Protection (DCP);
Placement Services Unit (PSU), DCP Case Management and LC Foster Care Services team to receive and process referrals of children who may be considered for a placement with LC Foster Carers and to provide case worker support to respite only households. The role works closely with these teams to ensure the best possible placement outcomes for each child.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
- A Bachelor of Social Work (or above) i.e. Masters
- Knowledge and experience of out of home care services and issues facing foster carers
- Case Management experience in out of home sector
