Field Service Technician (Billings, MT). PALFINGER is a global technology and engineering company and the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of innovative crane and lifting solutions. We are seeking two experienced Field Service Technicians to service Palfinger customer truck-mounted equipment in the field. This position reports to the Regional Field Service Manager and will work remotely in Bozeman and Billings, MT.

• Perform field repairs and troubleshooting of articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks and trailers with a high degree of independent judgment
• Perform quarterly preventive maintenance per customer schedule, annual DOT inspections, and warranty service
• Provide emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during working and non-working hours
• Communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to the job site and/or fleet managers
• Prepare service documentation in a timely manner (estimates, work orders, parts ordering and recording, labor and inventory documentation)
• Comply with state and federal safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and orderly company vehicle, job site equipment and work areas

• Strong proficiency in mechanical, hydraulics, electrical systems, troubleshooting diagnostics and welding
• Physically able to work in all weather conditions; able to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach and lift 75 lbs+ for extended periods
• 3 years of mechanical experience or training with emphasis in articulating cranes and forklifts
• Must speak, read and write English
• Must have a valid CDL driver’s license or be willing to obtain one within 60 days of employment
• Supply own tools; PALFINGER proprietary tools will be provided

• Competitive compensation: $42-47/hr (based on experience)
