Your roleAs a Grounds Maintenance Operative
, you’ll keep outdoor spaces looking their best. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, using powered equipment and hand tools to deliver high standards every day.
- Grass cutting using ride-on and pedestrian mowers
- Brush cutting/strimming and edging
- Shrub bed maintenance, hedge pruning, and weeding
- Litter clearance and general site tidying
- Seasonal bedding and planting
- Other grounds maintenance tasks as required
- Arboriculture Support:
Assist tree teams with ground operations, including branch cross-cutting, hedge cutting, and feeding material into a manually operated wood chipper. - Fencing Support:
Assist with basic fencing tasks such as stock fencing, post & rail, or close board installations
- Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Reliable, well-presented, and customer-focused
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Keen to broaden your horizons into tree management and fencing, supporting arboriculture teams and assisting with basic fencing tasks.
- Basic fencing skills (e.g., stock, post & rail or close board)
- PA1/PA6 for pesticide application
- NPTC Cross-Cutting & Maintenance
- NPTC Manually Fed Wood-Chipper
- First Aid at Work

Monday–Friday day shifts, occasional weekend availability, 9.5-hour shifts.
