Job Requirements:
Inspects and tests rubber materials, parts or products for conformance to specifications. Visually and tactually examines items for defects. Verifies dimensions and weights. Verifies strength, durability and permeability of materials and products. Records inspection and testing data.
Scopes, schedules, documents and closes out localization testing projects under the supervision of the QA Manager. Follows structured software quality assurance development methodology. Up-to-date on current and best practices related to quality assurance and project management. Is responsible for the execution of test project through completion. Actively participates in the development of QA practices. Verifies measurement of First Articles. Checks MO to ensure all procedures are correct and signed.
Verifies part to the drawing (stat sample). Checks part marking, signs tag. Does computer transactions and finals operation in MO. Verifies certifications/test report. Verifies First Article is needed. Verifies First Article. Checks material and/or part. Signs PO, makes copies and files. Verifies all POs on pack slip are in package, quantities are correct, part marking is correct on part and box.
Verifies shipping label and PO number. Signs and stamps pack slip and box. Conducts AS9201, in-process inspections and source inspections. Educated on AS9100 requirements. Perform in-house calibration.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required. Technical coursework related to blueprint reading, application of AS9100 in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience required, preferably in a build-to-spec manufacturing environment. Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Analytical and creative skills to find solutions to problems.
Proficient using PC and software applications.
Advanced mathematical skills.
Attention to detail.
Sense of Urgency.
Ability to work on numerous projects at once.
Strong interpersonal and personnel management skills.
Use of measuring equipment: calipers, micrometers, press, scales, compression gauge.
