Production Manager, Operations Manager
- Pay or shift range: $30 USD to $40 USD

For 80 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. Measurement Systems International, a Rice Lake Weighing Systems Company, is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team in Kent, WA.
The Production Supervisor works closely with the Master Scheduler and ensures the delivered schedule is put in place to meet quality and delivery demands. Will prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of all work and projects assigned to the department. Act as a resource to other departments and direct reports to address and resolve inquiries and issues.
Participate in planning production scheduling, staffing requirements, and manufacturing controls. Ensure the manufacturing of the highest quality of products at the lowest possible cost, meeting customer quality and delivery requirements. Oversee the implementation and training of manufacturing related programs. Administer and ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures.
- Ensures that scheduled and released work orders flow as assigned to the production floor. Manages schedule problems and adjusts as appropriate.
- Responsible for all supervisory duties of team; interviewing and selection process for new hires, time and attendance, employee performance reviews including coaching employees to achieve maximum personal and departmental performance, assist reporting supervisors with employees and processes, and other duties as assigned.
- Motivates and inspires others to obtain and maintain maximum performance levels through effective teamwork. Promotes a positive and productive work environment.
- Facilitates or performs the appropriate training of department processes and procedures. Including necessary job skills and Company policies; ensures training is timely and accurate. Provides coaching to employees as needed to obtain or maintain quality work standards.
- Ensures a safe and healthy working environment through enforcement of safety rules and guidelines. Identifies and corrects working hazards and coaches employees on proper safety practices.
- Operates area of responsibility consistent with lean business practices. Plan and design facility layout for efficient use of space and production flow. Ensures lean principles are maintained and sustain compliance.
- Partners with Purchasing on materials; ensure materials meet production and quality needs.
- Maintains inventory accuracy by assigning new part numbers, establish parameters, routing and work order status accuracy.
- Partners with Sales and Engineering regarding customer needs, function, delivery and quotes for products.
- Ensure compliance of ISO requirements
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred - Three (3) to five (5) years of manufacturing experience, including prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and drive accountability
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with production systems, ERP/MRP software, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
- Valid Washington Driver’s License

This position requires on-site presence at our facility in Kent, Washington; telecommuting is not available.
