About The Role:

Working Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 3 hours per day (15 hours per week). Specific times will be discussed at interview, but Saturday and Sunday shifts must start at 7:00am.
Additional Requirements: Some bank holiday working will be required.

Rates of Pay: Wednesday to Friday: £12.21 per hour
Saturday: £13.27 per hour
Sunday: £14.27 per hour
Bank Holidays: £19.00 per hour, plus 1 day of paid holiday

Purpose of the Role: To provide a High Standard of cleaning within the Kent Police Buildings this would include the cleaning of Office Areas, Toilets/Showers, Kitchen Areas and General Cleaning of Cells,

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules including Custody but not Foul Cells.
  • Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by your line manager
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Due to the nature of the work confidentiality is always required.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
  • Follow the safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH).
  • To ensure the handover of any outstanding work.
Qualifications &

Experience:

Skills & abilities:
  • Good communication skills,
  • Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Attention to detail and proactive.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and also as a member of a team
Experience:
  • Experience in working within a team as well as on your own – essential
  • Knowledge of COSHH
Any other requirements:
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including working weekends & Bank Holidays
  • Willingness to take any further appropriate training.
