AWS Data Center Non‑Traditional Security is seeking a highly talented and motivated Security Program Manager to join our team. The role is responsible for the design and installation of physical security systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Surveillance systems.

You will also be responsible for the continuous review of existing standards and to stay abreast of new technology developments that will enhance the physical security footing of AWS data centers and collocations. You will work directly with the NTE Regional Security Managers, the Operations Team and internal customers to translate their requirements into physical security system design and implementation. Your work will include supporting the construction and deployment of physical security packages for all AWS data centers and collocations globally.

The ideal candidate for the role will be willing and able to work in all disciplines, at all levels; from system design and layout, construction and implementation, and oversee system maintenance and upgrades over the life of the project. You will have an in depth knowledge of security technology, be innovative, highly organized and know how to deliver results on time and on budget.

The role will involve international travel and the ability to work autonomously is essential. The successful candidate will be able to travel globally.

The NTE SECURITY team is globally responsible for safeguarding AWS data center infrastructure, customer data, and employees for Non‑Traditional environments. We currently serve our customers and partners in over 400 locations in almost 60 countries and we often go to places where AWS has never been before. This role also includes local travel up to 35% and international travel up to 20%.

Key Qualifications
  • Experience working on physical security design and implementation of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems
  • 3+ years of technical support, or 2+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience
  • Experience in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
  • 5+ years of web services security, video content protection technologies, cryptography, network security protocols and operating system security experience
  • 7+ years of defining and executing against program timeline & requirements experience
  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
  • Experience with program management spanning planning, execution and project delivery
  • Industry relevant certification (Linux+, LPIC‑1, or equivalent), or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
  • Experience with security equipment such as intrusion detection devices, access control systems, etc.
  • Training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
