Safe Path Care is a leading domiciliary care agency committed to providing exceptional mental health support to individuals within their own homes. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Healthcare Assistants to join our team, delivering high-quality care across Kent and Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care:
    Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Emotional Support:
    Provide companionship and empathetic listening to clients, fostering a supportive environment
  • Medication Assistance:
    Support clients with medication reminders and administration as per care plans
  • Observation and Reporting:
    Monitor clients' mental health status, noting any changes or concerns, and report to the healthcare team
  • Crisis Intervention:
    Assist in de‑escalating situations and provide appropriate interventions during mental health crises
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and family members, to deliver cohesive care
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of care provided and clients' progress
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in mental health care or a similar role is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training provided
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Empathy and Compassion: A genuine desire to support individuals with mental health needs
  • Reliability:
    Strong sense of responsibility and dependability
  • Flexibility:
    Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Transportation: A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are advantageous but not mandatory
  • Compliance:
    Willingness to undergo a DBS check
