Role Overview

Valley Cities and community partners are dedicated to constructively addressing the opioid epidemic. The Hub and spoke clinical supervisor will provide supervision and coordination for a multidisciplinary team of substance use disorder, behavioral health, primary care and other partnered providers. Together, these partnered agencies will provide access to a continuum of services for persons with opioid use disorders, utilizing a “hub and spoke” model and a harm‑reduction philosophy of care.

This position will work closely with the MATCH Clinical Supervisor and Director, nurse care manager and care navigators to screen, enroll, and schedule clients for medication assisted treatment and other needed care and services based upon individual care needs, geography and timeliness of access. They may provide mentoring and support to SUDPT Care Navigators and be a liaison to the community for the program.

Provides integrated care to meet the person’s individual needs. Assures quality treatment services are provided to clients that are in line with the program mission, goals, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the structure of MATCH programming to remain in conformance with SOR grant requirements, WAC’s, RCWs, and County Contracts.
  • Supports SUDPTs in maintaining the same.
  • Assure MATCH staff complete accurate intake, follow up and clinically relevant documentation. Review and approve services generated by SUDP/SUDPTs.
  • Provide consultation to Care Navigators providing MAT services.
  • Perform appropriate intakes and referrals aiding clients when needed to navigate barriers to transportation and scheduling.
  • Must provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
  • Be comfortable working with individuals who suffer from substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Be comfortable working with individuals who struggle with traditional treatment.
Education
  • AA Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field, BA desired.
  • Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification.
  • Current Driver’s License.
  • Pass required background checks.
Other
  • Current automotive insurance: if transporting people in personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • If recovering from alcohol/chemical dependency, have been in recovery for at least two years and be working on a personal recovery program that is verifiable and documented at the time of hire.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals and a diverse client population.
  • Can illustrate documented, service-oriented experience that includes successful staff development and quality client outcomes.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the principles of recovery.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of Trauma Informed Care philosophy and implementation.
  • Experience working directly with the justice system, especially around treatment requirements and reporting.
  • Good data management and computer skills.
