Main Purpose of Job
The Environmental Compliance and Safety Officer is assigned in each of the major facilities in the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to include all Division of Correction facilities, Patuxent Institution, and Central Booking and Intake Facility. This position is responsible for the administration of an environmental, health and safety program for each facility, following standards and guidelines from OSHA, MOSH, EPA, MDE, etc.
This position is a Day Shift position working Monday through Friday pursuing the implementation and administration of a comprehensive Environmental and Safety Program.
