Para educator (PARA2)

Location: Kent, WA

Duration: 20 Weeks

Shift: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $28/hour

We are seeking a dedicated Para educator (PARA2) for a 20-week contract assignment with Kent School District in a float capacity. This role provides classroom and student support across various school sites as needed.

The para educator will assist instructional staff and provide direct student support, including behavioral and academic assistance. This position includes Float and HaHa (Highly Capable/High Assistance Hybrid) support
, requiring flexibility, adaptability, and strong student engagement skills.

• Provide classroom support under the direction of certified teachers

• Assist students with academic tasks and individualized instruction

• Support students with behavioral, emotional, or learning needs

• Float between classrooms or school sites as assigned

• Implement behavior plans and instructional accommodations

• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff

• Prior para educator or classroom support experience preferred

• Experience supporting students with behavioral or special education needs strongly preferred

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to adapt quickly in a float assignment
