Overview

2026 Summer College Internship Program for Sales Operations - Harbor Food service

The Sales Operations Internship at Harbor Food service is a process improvement-focused role designed to support key operational and sales enablement initiatives across the organization. This internship provides hands‑on experience in business systems, onboarding strategy, warehouse operations, and category management. Interns will work both collaboratively and independently to document, organize, and improve core business processes. Primary focus areas include advancing the Harbor Sales Anchor Onboarding Program, building a structured online training manual for K360, supporting Standard Operating Procedure development across departments, and improving operational clarity.

This role is designed to deliver measurable business outcomes while providing meaningful cross‑functional experience.

Harbor Food service Internships are onsite positions in Kent, WA for students with existing residence in the central Puget Sound region, WA

Education and Experience
  • Major in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Analytics or directly related field preferred
  • Prior internship or general business experience preferred but not required
Compensation

$20/hour

Responsibilities Anchor Onboarding Process Development (25%)
  • Support the continued buildout and organization of the Harbor Sales Anchor Onboarding program
  • Document current state of onboarding processes and identify gaps
  • Assist in creating structured onboarding materials and training resources
  • Contribute to the development of training videos and supporting documentation
  • Deliver a documented and organized onboarding framework for leadership review
K360 Online Training Manual and SOP Development (30%)
  • Develop a structured online training manual for Harbor's order entry platform, K360
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for key K360 functions, including pricing, banners, and other system components
  • Consolidate and organize existing documentation from multiple contributors into a centralized knowledge resource
  • Deliver a complete, organized K360 training and SOP library
Warehouse Credits and Returns SOP Development (20%)
  • Partner with the Director of Warehouse to document internal credits and returns processes
  • Develop clear SOPs for drivers, driver check‑in procedures, and internal sales team coordination

    Improve clarity and consistency of internal operational workflows
  • Deliver documented internal credits and returns process guide
Category Management SOP Support (15%)
  • Support Category Management team with documentation of recurring processes
  • Build SOPs to improve repeatability and clarity within the department
  • Assist in organizing process documentation where administrative support currently does not exist
Cross-Functional Engagement and Final Presentation (10%)
  • Participate in informational interviews and cross‑departmental exposure sessions
  • Provide regular project updates to leadership
  • Present a final summary report outlining completed deliverables, process improvements identified, and recommendations for future enhancements
Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interest in business process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to document processes in a structured and logical format
  • Comfort working independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Ability to learn proprietary company systems, including CRM and order entry platforms
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify workflow gaps and recommend improvements
