Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a accounting team in Kent on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented detail oriented who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, has strong customer service skills, and is comfortable managing high‑volume AR processes with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Process and distribute a high volume of accounts receivable invoices and customer statements Receive, record, and apply incoming payments Prepare and process daily bank deposits Maintain accurate AR aging and ensure timely account reconciliation Run credit checks for new customers and approve new accounts Provide detail oriented, courteous customer service via phone and email Complete a monthly petty cash audit Participate in daily cash count rotation Record daily sales transactions Assist with collections as needed Provide support, documentation, and assistance for seasonal programs Collaborate closely with the Controller Offer administrative support to other departments when necessary Requirements 5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop is required Experience in a paperless accounting environment is a plus Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent organizational abilities and comfort working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting Strong verbal and written communication skills Outstanding customer service and problem‑solving skills Positive attitude, proactive mindset, and willingness to jump in wherever needed
