Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Qualified Accountant to join this financial organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements

* Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and journal entries

* Prepare and review budgets and forecasts

* Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management

* Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes

* Support external audits and liaise with auditors

* Ensure accurate and timely tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes as applicable)

* Maintain internal controls and improve financial processes

* Assist with cash flow management and financial planning

Qualifications

* Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

* 3+ years of relevant accounting experience

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quick Books, Xero, SAP, or similar)

* Advanced Excel skills

* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
