Job Summary

The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides compassionate, hands-on personal care and support to clients in their homes. The HHA assists with daily living activities, promotes client comfort and safety, and supports overall health and well-being under the supervision of a nurse or care coordinator.

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Help with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping
• Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper safety techniques
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications (no administration unless certified and permitted)
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Follow care plans, agency policies, and safety procedures
• Document care provided and communicate with supervisors and healthcare team members

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
• Current HHA certification (as required by state regulations)
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required)
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with client transfers
• Ability to work in various home environments

• Client homes
• Flexible schedules may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Care Coordinator
