Hotel Painter – The Stella Hotel & Ballroom

Location: Kenosha, WI (also responsible for The Brewhouse Inn & Suites, Milwaukee, WI and The Embassy Suites, Rockford, IL)

This full‑time painting position is part of Gorman & Company’s hotel maintenance team. The successful candidate will maintain and enhance the visual appearance of hotel and ballroom interiors and exteriors across multiple properties.

• Perform painting, finishing, and maintenance work on interior and exterior surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces, including patching, sanding, and moisture control.
• Mix and match paint colors to match specified standards.
• Remove, install, and maintain wallpaper, ensuring smooth surfaces.
• Inspect painted areas and perform touch‑ups or repairs as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols for handling, storing, and disposing of paints, chemicals, and tools.
• Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping to prioritize and schedule projects.
• Travel between multiple hotel properties.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a painter in a hotel, resort, or commercial setting.
• Own reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
• Familiarity with surface preparation, drywall repair, and wallpaper installation/removal.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of safety standards and protocols.
• Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work on various surfaces.
