Sales & Design Associate

Overview

Carpet City Flooring Center is looking for a customer-focused Interior Designer, focused on flooring sales consultant to join our Kenosha team. If you have experience in design, flooring, construction, or home improvement—and enjoy helping people bring their home design visions to life—this could be the perfect fit.

In this role, you’ll guide customers through flooring options, recommend solutions that match their style and budget, and turn consultations into confident purchases. You’ll also build lasting relationships, collaborate with installation teams, and stay current on products and trends.

Base compensation $52,000/year

On Target Earnings $65,/year

$65,000 - $100,000 yearly on target earnings

• Stay informed on industry trends, new product offerings, and competitor activity to provide knowledgeable recommendations and stay ahead of the curve
• Confidently guide customers through the sales process—negotiating, closing deals, and ensuring profitability while delivering top-tier service
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to drive repeat business and long-term customer loyalty
• Actively network and prospect within the community to identify new opportunities and expand the client base
• Collaborate closely with installation and service teams to ensure a smooth, successful project from sale to completion

• Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills—you know how to connect with people and earn their trust
• A valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel locally as needed to meet with clients or attend job sites
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate s or bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Comfortable using technology and familiar with CRM systems or other sales tools to manage leads and track progress
• Ideally, 3 years of sales experience—especially in a customer-facing or consultative role
