We offer a state-of-the-art facility with 24-hour Registered Nursing staff and a full complement of Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants who deliver high-quality nursing care and support residents toward their optimal state of health and wellbeing.
Our services include skilled rehabilitation nursing, post-surgical care, IV infusion therapy, respiratory services, wound care, peritoneal dialysis, pain management, restorative nursing, dementia care, and hospice care. We focus on Person Directed Care and collaborate with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to formulate plans of care aligned with each resident’s goals. Brookside supports continuing education for nursing staff with online and in-house programs and participates as a clinical practice site for several nursing programs.
Responsibilities- Prepares, administers, and charts medications and treatments.
- Measures temperatures, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Assists with admission of new residents and helps them acclimate to new surroundings.
- Helps prepare residents for therapies and examinations.
- Discusses resident therapies, medications, and treatments with residents and physicians as prescribed.
- Cleans and disinfects nursing equipment.
- Performs room checks and responds to call lights; assists residents with hygiene needs.
- Assists in passing out food trays and feeding residents.
- Attends resident care conferences, staff meetings, and nursing conferences.
- Performs related duties as required or assigned; complies with regulatory requirements and facility vaccination policy (proof of vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption).
- Prior experience in a nursing home or hospital is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of principles, methods, and standards of professional nursing.
- Experience in health care, sanitation, hygiene, and medical treatment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate records.
- Ability to apply therapeutic treatments as prescribed and supervise nursing assistants.
- Ability to work cohesively with physicians, nurses, attendants, residents, and the public.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; effective communication with residents and family members.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

This is a medium physical demand job, including lifting and carrying requirements as described: lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds for up to 20 feet, and push/pull 60 horizontal force pounds for 10 feet.
