Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer (RDMS – OB/GYN)
Schedule:
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our high-risk OB team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of dedicated Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) experience and demonstrate advanced expertise in obstetric ultrasound imaging and procedures.
Must-Have QualificationsARDMS registered (RDMS – OB/GYN)
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine / High-Risk OB department
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Perform basic to advanced obstetric diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including:
First trimester scans
Nuchal translucency
Anatomy and growth scans
Dopplers
Biophysical profiles (BPP)
Basic fetal echocardiography
Transvaginal ultrasound
Portable imaging
Amniocentesis and chorionic villi sampling (CVS)
Select appropriate transducers and technical settings, including Doppler, color imaging, M-mode, and real-time imaging.
Apply independent judgment and non-standard techniques when required to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
Review patient medical records, lab results, and physician orders prior to exams; obtain relevant patient history directly from patients.
Calibrate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment; report equipment issues to biomedical and leadership teams.
Participate in departmental quality assurance activities and ensure accurate documentation and billing of performed procedures.
Assist in the clinical instruction of sonography students, OB/GYN residents, and medical students.
Safely perform patient positioning and transport duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling, using proper body mechanics.
Provide age-appropriate care by applying knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan in accordance with departmental policies.
Advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and diagnostic evaluation.
Strong proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy with the ability to distinguish normal vs. abnormal findings.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, patients, and multidisciplinary teams.
Basic computer proficiency, including email and electronic medical records (EMR).
