Overview

The Faculty of Nursing at Carthage College is responsible for didactic and clinical teaching in the department's nursing programs, maintaining competence in an area of nursing practice, and providing service to the College and the community.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in nursing required.
  • Holds a valid, unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in Wisconsin or is eligible to obtain a Wisconsin license. Licensure in Illinois may be required.
  • Experience teaching in a pre-licensure nursing program or coursework in nursing education principles and techniques preferred.
  • Knowledge of teaching-learning principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Evidence of current clinical expertise.
  • Certification (or eligibility for certification) in a nursing specialty is desirable.
