Job Summary

Direct, lead and supervise the sales and operational efforts within the branch or division to achieve profit goals. Create a safe and motivating work environment that promotes customer service and surpasses customer expectations. Develop a continual improvement system that encompasses all company functions.

• Create a profitable environment to improve cycle time for metal users in the region.
• Attract and motivate employees to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Maintain an acceptable and profitable inventory turnover to support customer demand.
• Profitably maintain equipment and recommend purchases to process orders more efficiently.
• Develop a system to encourage, accept, and process customer orders and inquiries.
• Promote ongoing improvement for all products and processes.
• Encourage prompt payment of products and services within 30 days.
• Investigate and analyze products and processes for improved profitability.
• Maintain open communication among all employees.
• Ensure operations conform to all legal provincial and federal regulations.
• Meet TKMNA employee attributes and competencies.

Minimum Requirements

• 4‑year college degree.
• Knowledge of TQM and ISO 9001:2000.
• Computer literate.
• Acquainted with finance for non‑financial managers.
• Strategic selling and time management skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Completion or working toward MBA.
• Metallurgy training and/or experience.
• Leadership training.
• Team‑building experience.
• Training in strategic planning and motivation.
• 1 yr inside sales; 3 yr outside sales; 1‑2 yr operations.
