Caseworker, Social Work

POSITION STATUS:

Ø Seeking to fill 1 permanent full time position to begin ASAP. This position focuses on servicing youth who come into conflict with the law. Youth are supported to be accountable within the context of their family, community, as well as their victim(s); the Caseworker would provide services that are frequent, intensive, and rehabilitative.

KNOWLEDGE AND

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ø Skills and demonstrated ability in the provision of assessment, counselling and group work for adolescents and families

Ø Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, agency policies and procedures

Ø Excellent verbal and written skills

Ø Valid Ontario Driver’s License and use of a vehicle

Ø Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø H.B.S.W. plus minimum three (3) years related experience and be a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers

Ø Social Service Worker plus two (2) years of experience may be considered

Ø Candidates with other qualifications and related work experience may be considered

SALARY: $32.41- $37.87
