Time Produce Clerk

We’re looking for a motivated Produce Clerk to join our team and help us deliver top-quality fruits and veggies to our valued customers. • Cut fruits and veggies, and prepare delicious food service items like parfaits and stir-fry mixes.
• Ensure prompt stocking and rotation of produce, keeping our cooler, back room, and produce hallway organized and clutter-free.
• Provide friendly and professional service, assisting customers and taking accurate orders over the phone.
• Conduct quality checks, remove damaged products, and pack orders for delivery.
• Maintain a spotless work area by cleaning equipment, sweeping, and mopping as per health and safety standards.
• Keep the production team informed about daily waste and fresh product availability.
• Follow safe food handling guidelines and store procedures diligently.
• Perform opening tasks like setting up the produce floor and closing duties such as turning off devices and disposing of garbage.
• Ensure an exceptional shopping experience by addressing inquiries and providing assistance.
• Be ready to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal abilities,
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines, availability to work flexible hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Permanent Full-time (40 hours/week)

Starting at $17.20 – $19.00 per/hour (depending on experience)

Fresh Market Foods will cover a one-time round-trip travel cost for the successful candidate to our location and back to their permanent residence at the end of the work period. This does not include the cost for a full trailer move (household goods, trailers, or large personal belongings etc).
