Job SummaryThe Social Worker – Specialist Services plays a key role within a multidisciplinary team supporting the health and well‑being of clients of Specialist Services. The focus of this position is to provide integrated, client‑centered support through case coordination, clinical collaboration, and system navigation.
Working collaboratively with Specialists Services staff, the Social Worker – Specialist Services ensures high‑quality care by contributing to assessments, providing follow‑up, and strengthening links between families, clinical services and community supports.
This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic clinical setting, while working closely with skilled and supportive professionals dedicated to the wellness of children, youth and adults.
The Social Worker – Specialist Services reports to the Manager – Specialist Services.
Qualifications- Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment)
- Bachelor’s degree in social work (or a related field); master’s degree considered an asset.
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in children’s and/or youth mental health.
- Experience in interdisciplinary environments, ideally including psychiatry or pediatrics.
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care and culturally responsive practices.
- Familiarity with the needs of Indigenous children, youth, and families and experience working in northern or remote communities.
- The ability to perform the requirements of the position on a regular basis.
