Electrical Lead

West Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the successful candidate will work on a 7-on / 7-off rotation (dayshift only), while following safe work procedures to provide overall production and safe target support for Red Lake Madsen Mine team.

The Electrical Lead is responsible for overseeing all electrical activities across surface and underground operations. This role ensures safe, reliable, and compliant execution of electrical infrastructure, maintenance, and upgrades. The Electrical Lead provides technical leadership, coordinates multidisciplinary teams, and supports strategic decision‑making for capital projects and operational continuity.

• Lead planning, execution, and QA/QC of electrical installations, upgrades, and maintenance
• Supervise and mentor electricians, apprentices, and contractors across multiple phases and locations
• Develop and enforce SOPs, PM schedules, and safety protocols aligned with regulatory standards
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams to ensure integrated project delivery
• Review and approve electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams, and equipment specifications
• Manage procurement, inventory, and cost tracking for electrical materials and assets
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems
• Provide technical input for capital planning, shutdowns, and infrastructure development
• Maintain documentation for inspections, permits, and compliance audits

• Licensed Journeyperson Electrician Red Seal
• 7+ years of industrial electrical experience, including leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, NEC, and mining electrical codes
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and control diagrams
• Experience with high‑voltage systems, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and SCADA
• Excellent communication, team leadership, and problem‑solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work in remote or underground environments
