Job Purpose

Fabricates, constructs, and repairs structural woodwork and wood products by following blueprints, drawings, and oral instructions; using carpentry tools and equipment.

Duties
  • Manage crews of 3-5 people, oversee job safety, quality control, and production.
  • Produce carpentry products and services by following standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
  • Determine material requirements and dimensions of structures or fixtures by studying blueprints, sketches, or building plans.
  • Maintain carpentry supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and placing orders.
  • Prepare layouts for fabrication of counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, and building frameworks using appropriate tools.
  • Construct, repair, and install structures or fixtures by marking, cutting, shaping, assembling, and fastening materials with hand and power tools.
  • Ensure construction quality by verifying the trueness of structures with levels and measurement tools.
  • Comply with building codes and advise management on necessary actions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Conserve resources and maintain equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Provide carpentry information and support to team members.
  • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and needs to ensure team continuity.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screening.
