Overview
This hospital in Kennewick WA exists because one emergency vet got tired of watching clients struggle to find same-day care that felt humane, accessible, and reasonable. What started in 2018 as a six-person team built to fill a real gap in the community has grown into a busy, respected urgent care and GP hybrid with more than 60 staff members and strong relationships with local referring practices.
The growth wasn’t accidental. It happened because the medicine is thoughtful, the standards are clear, and the people here actually like working together. The hospital was fully remodeled in 2022, and the culture is intentionally relationship-driven. Pets, clients, and coworkers are treated like they matter because they do.
This is a place for a veterinarian who wants to practice good medicine without rushing every decision or feeling like they’re carrying the hospital alone.
You’ll see a true mix of cases. Urgent care, same-day sick pets, and general practice medicine all happen under one roof. Case continuity matters here, and when a case needs follow-up, it is handled with intention rather than handed off blindly. There are clear standards, but plenty of room for clinical judgment and autonomy.
The doctor team includes 10 DVMs, supported by 13 licensed technicians and many trained support staff. You will not be the only one making decisions at 6 pm. Help is available, and asking questions is normal.
Schedules are flexible. Full-time and part-time roles are available, with day or swing shifts depending on what fits your life.
Leadership is present, approachable, and invested in the long term. Mentorship is structured for new grads, but experienced vets are also supported through collaboration, shared standards, and real input into how medicine is practiced. If something is not working, it gets talked about and fixed.
The hospital is deeply connected to its community, both clients and referring clinics. That trust is earned, and it shows in the caseload and the way clients engage with care.
