Job Description
Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in the design and construction management of public sector projects. Experience with state, county, and local municipality projects, including Higher Education or K-12 school districts, is a plus. The candidate should be a self-starter, able to take initiative, and drive activities with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients and consultants at all project stages.
• Manage project finances, including client invoicing and monitoring financial status.
• Develop detailed project plans.
• Monitor and apply performance management techniques.
• Manage change control processes.
• Coordinate project information flow through meetings and written communication.
• Prepare project budget reports and progress updates.
• Ensure quality standards and compliance.
• Construct proposals for new work or variations.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures.
• Address quality, safety, health, and environmental issues with the line manager.
• Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.

Qualifications

• Strategic advisory skills during project conception, including approach recommendations.
• Excellent time management to ensure quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
• Strong relationship-building with clients and team members.
• Experience working effectively within project teams.
• Business development skills, including cross-selling opportunities.
• Effective sharing and retention of key information and data.

Education / Experience

• 8+ years in design and construction management.
• BS in construction management, engineering, or architecture (AA acceptable with sufficient experience).
• Experience with Alternative Delivery methods (PDB preferred).
• Proven leadership in design and construction phases.
• Proficiency in PMiS software, MS Office, Adobe, Bluebeam.
• Membership in professional organizations (CCM, PMP, PE) preferred.
• Experience managing demanding stakeholders and work streams.

Additional Information
