A large Data Center in Boardman, OR is hiring a Data Center Technician to join the team for a great opportunity.
Job SummaryYou will serve as one of many primary resolvers for your support team skilled at troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You support and share knowledge of these technologies with team members. You possess basic to intermediate system administration skills and work autonomously to resolve server issues. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to take direction when given paying attention to all details involved.
You work well with a team. You are receptive to feedback and able to adjust performance and behavior as required for the position.
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of server hardware and networking equipment.
- Execute routine hardware installations, upgrades, and decommissioning tasks.
- Monitor and respond to system alerts and elevate issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inventory used.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence.
- 1-2 years of prior IT related experience with previous Data Center/Cabling experience.
- Prefer strong Cabling experience (coax, fiber, copper, cat5, cat6, punch downs, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Need to have a strong work ethic.
- Must be willing to commute out to the areas of Boardman, Umatilla and Hermiston, OR.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
