- Building Performance – Control systems, fault detection, energy services, and remote monitoring.

Design Engineer – Responsible for the layout, design, and coordination of assigned projects with high-quality, accurate, and timely deliverables. This role supports engineering documentation, design development, and quality control, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver coordinated mechanical designs and construction documents aligned with company standards.
The Design Engineer reports to Steve Hargrove, Associate Principal Engineer and is part of a collaborative team driving a wide range of projects. This highly visible role offers opportunities to work across all levels and functions of the organization.
Key Deliverables (First Year)- Deliver exceptional designs – Produce fully coordinated, accurate HVAC and plumbing system designs that meet project requirements, codes, and quality standards.
- Manage projects from start to finish – Oversee multiple projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and performance goals are met.
- Lead with accountability – Coordinate workflows, delegate tasks, and guide team members to timely, precise delivery.
- Collaborate across disciplines – Work with architects, engineers, project managers, and field teams to align design intent with construction.
- Produce clear documentation – Create and maintain calculations, reports, and design drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
- Invest in others – Mentor team members to strengthen technical expertise and professional growth.
- Champion innovation – Drive process improvements and introduce new technologies to enhance design efficiency.

What Kind of Person Will Thrive in This Role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu is required.
- Experience in the construction or building systems industry is preferred.

Salary: $75,000–$113,000 annually
