OverviewENERCON’s Power Delivery Team is seeking a Transmission Line Engineering Manager for a Texas location with ERCOT experience, existing Texas electric utility relationships, and ideally 765 kV expertise. The role may be located in any of the following cities (remote considered for senior applicants):

A typical day involves leading a talented engineering team through design and optimization of transmission lines, mentoring junior staff and managing multiple client projects simultaneously. Key duties include:
- Leadership & Team Management – lead engineering teams in design, analysis and optimization of transmission lines; mentor and develop junior staff; manage multiple client engagements.
- Project Management – oversee all phases of transmission line projects, from conceptual design through construction and as-built support; develop and manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables in collaboration with ENERCON PMO.
- Collaboration & Integration – work with cross‑functional teams to integrate projects into overall infrastructure improvement plans; provide technical support and guidance to other departments.
- Compliance & Safety – ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations and safety protocols.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
- Minimum of 6 years of transmission line engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, ideally with NCEES reciprocity.
- ERCOT experience required.
- Expertise with PLS‑CADD software suite and MFAD.
- Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE and other industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
- Willingness to travel for client site visits and project meetings.
