Required Qualifications
  • Current Washington State Career & Technical Education Certification
  • Endorsement in Communication Technologies
  • Current first aid/CPR card
  • Satisfactory evaluations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching techniques which reflect interactive student-centered, topic driven instruction and incorporate communicative activities and authentic materials.
  • Evidence of training or experience in using technology and real world applications to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to use/learn computer technology for word processing, Excel, Access, and Power Point, electronic grading and attendance, communication by e-mail, and ability to implement computer skills into daily classroom instruction.
  • Ability to motivate and instruct students of all ability levels with emphasis on providing for their individual learning styles.
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining a positive, productive learning climate within the classroom as well as with parents and colleagues.
  • Evidence of satisfactory experience in curriculum development, classroom management, and organization for routine detail.
  • Punctual and consistent attendance.
Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Teach CTE Digital Photography during the summer session at Tri-Tech following the approved curriculum for Digital Photography.
  • Incorporate new and emerging technology into the instructional process.
  • Become involved with business and community partnerships.
  • Be a “team” player by establishing and maintaining cooperative professional relationships with others.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support cultural diversity as a strength and maintain the attitude that we will meet the needs of any child who enters our school.
  • Be innovative and committed to the challenge of change in education.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain a current working knowledge of the information technology industry.
  • Be committed to success for all children.
  • Be flexible and cooperative in schedule changes.
