Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable General Laborer to join our local decking and construction team. This is an entry-level role with opportunities to learn carpentry and construction trades on the job for upward mobility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Handling: Load and unload lumber, concrete, and tools from trucks. Transport heavy materials like decking boards and posts to the specific work area.
  • Assistant Tasks: Assist the Crew Chief and carpenters by holding materials, measuring, or using hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws) as directed.
  • Digging & Footings: Assist in manual labor tasks such as digging holes for deck footings and back filling once concrete is poured.
  • Tool Maintenance: Clean and organize tools at the end of each shift, ensuring they are properly stored in company vehicles.
Qualifications
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50–80 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Reliability: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to arrive at the job site on time every morning.
  • Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and communicate effectively with the Crew Chief.
  • Responsiveness: Must be highly responsive to phone/text conversations and requests. Candidates unresponsive will not be considered.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Previous construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic.
  • Attitude: Must possess a positive attitude at all times.
  • Transportation: Must have/own reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
Why Join Us?
  • Local Projects: Work within your community with no extensive travel.
  • Professional Growth: Learn specialized carpentry and deck-building skills under experienced leadership.
  • Supportive Environment: Work in a small, dedicated team where your contributions are directly seen and valued.
  • Values-driven small company: Work for a great small company who cares about excellence in our craft, taking care of homeowners, and supporting our staff.
