General FunctionThe Licensed Store Manager maximizes the store’s sales and profits, achieves patient care objectives through personal selling, and effectively manages Associates. The manager ensures the store meets all operational, sales, and merchandising goals while modeling Luxottica’s commitment to exceptional patient care and customer service.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Follows up on tasks to ensure the store runs on a sound operational basis.
- Empowers associates to make decisions.
- Drives results by conveying urgency and directs issues to closure.
- Acts as a catalyst of change in collaboration with associates.
- Leads OD business partnership and co‑planning.
- Ensures the store consistently and efficiently meets corporate and divisional expectations for sales, merchandising, customer service, patient care, and store operations.
- Assists in achieving goals through personal sales and patient interaction as needed.
- Models and enforces the use of NECE.
- Ensures associates are trained to perform their jobs with a high level of skill and self‑initiative.
- Monitors all store areas to ensure associates meet expectations; initiates actions to remedy deficiencies.
- Recruits, interviews, and hires high‑caliber sales associates as needed.
- Coaches and develops associates to provide promotion and growth opportunities.
- Ensures store compliance with all Company HR policies, federal and state laws, and regulations.
- Utilizes regional and Corporate HR partners to resolve HR issues.
- Sets a positive, diverse, harassment‑free work environment.
- Executes Optician duties when required.
- Store volume range: $650K – $1.3M gross sales.
- High School Diploma or GED (equivalent experience).
- Optician licensure or ABO.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a retail environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and build associate relationships in a fast‑changing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and continuous progress monitoring.
- Adaptability to multi‑tasking and rapid change.
- Financial report analysis skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service and sales.
- Ability to be on feet most of the day for extended periods.
- Physical agility for handling merchandise.
- Availability to work early mornings, days, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute company programs within expense guidelines.
