Position
:
This is a 1st shift role.
- Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to work order specifications.
- Maintain processing equipment and the processing area in a clean, safe condition.
- Complete all required information entry accurately and perform other tasks as assigned.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment; pull, inspect and verify product before processing.
- Set up equipment to run material according to set up notes and work order specifications; verify product meets set up specifications and record measurements as required.
- Communicate with appropriate sales representatives regarding changes or clarifications to orders.
- Perform preventive maintenance and general clean-up; maintain issued measurement equipment.
- Enter or delete material identification tags as instructed; assist in packaging material per work instructions and work orders.
- Record inspection measurements using the weighing scale; identify, record, and segregate scrap and any non-conforming material.
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding machine efficiency and product quality.
- Work safely on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery; train others when required; assist in lean and/or quality activities.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Basic math skills
- Safety mindset
Preferred Requirements
:
- Previous warehouse experience, especially in metals
- Forklift experience
- Use of handheld measuring tools
- Computer literate
